Anyone going to Hermit’s Lake can set up camp on two sheltered spots. One of them is 20 miles from here, the other one is about a day’s journey on towards the lake.
Anyone who knows his way around the wilderness can get to Skelellen within the week. There’s even a temple to Firun somewhere in the woods up there.
There’s a path up Skelellen way that disappears into the woods. There is good hunting there about 15 miles from here.
There’s a pretty good market near the Bodir palace.

There’s a quite adventurous route down to Skelellen from here, but not many people are willing to hack through the brush just to be bored there.
A bit farther east you can reach Groenvelden, but beyond that there aren’t even dirt tracks.
Sure, the road to Vilnhome isn’t in the best of conditions, but it’s still comfortable going compared to all the other roads.
Considering what’s going on at Hermit’s Lake, or rather, what isn’t going on, the path there is in top condition.
