Suddenly a terrible figure takes shape from a fine mist seeping up through the floor in front of you. With a deafening roar, the colossus moves in your direction. Your hands tremble so badly that you can hardly hold on to your weapons as terror strikes at your heart.

In a blind state of panic you tear through the corridors back to the entrance of the dragon lair, not stopping until you see daylight!
Suddenly, a column of fire glides toward you, engulfing the entire party in a flaming inferno!

You enter an enormous cave. Its walls rattle with the thunderous snores of the dragon sleeping near the cave’s center.

“Ah, puny humans! And different from those upstairs. I could fry you where you stand, but you shall be spared and allowed to leave on only one condition.
For almost longer than I can remember now, I have been bound to this place by some devious magic. The key to my release is small and made of platinum… one of those puny red-haired humans carries it around his neck. If you bring me the key, I shall leave behind half my treasure when I depart!
Will you do it?”
“Go back up then, as the puny humans have returned.
Good luck; you will need it…”
“I’ll just have to fry you then.”
You can gather some potions, a dagger and 200 ducats from the dragon’s hoard without disturbing it!

A deep voice speaks as you enter this room.
“Some fools you are to fall for that! Go on, just trundle back from where you came…”
Totally drained you leave this place and slowly get back on the road to your original destination of [NAME].
