A bit outside of town, at the swamp hole, there’s an old tower where a black magician is conducting his unholy experiments. We’ve tried to bring the man before a court of law quite a while ago, but that place is so hard to reach… He couldn’t wish for better protection!
Do you think the Holberkians might be behind the orc uprising?
No, the Holberkians are a quiet, peaceful lot. I wish everyone were like that!
Do you know the rat-catcher at all?
Barely. You never get to see him.
Do you think there’s monsters down in the sewers?
No, if there were, the rat-catcher would have reported it to us for sure. Also, the guild would have looked for a different hideout.
Can you tell us something about the guild and the tradesmaster?
That scum has build up fortified positions in the sewers, where they’re just about impregnable.
Do you know Tarik at all?
He’s an old acquaintance of ours. We’ve had to deal with him a lot before he changed sides!
How about the judge?
He’s one for decisive action, is the judge! But I guess the situation doesn’t leave him a choice: First the cutthroats of the guild, and now there’s the pirates as well. - You really notice the Northlands are preoccupied with the orcs, it makes all the rats come out and start dancing on your nose!
