Could you tell us a bit about this town?
Well, there’s a clan of Holberkians on the north side of town. That’s fairly unusual. Normally, these blackpelts have their villages far away from human settlements. They have strange customs and an even stranger language, but underneath that, they’re really a quiet, peaceful lot.
Do you think the Holberkians are behind the orc uprising?
No. See, there’s almost no-one but Holberkians in my neighborhood. And I’m not in the least unhappy about it, ‘cause they’re basically quiet, peaceful fellows, much easier to live with than some of my other neighbours.
Of course, I can expect to be the only human left in this quarter in a while, because all that blackpelt talk has made most of my human neighbours pack up and move somewhere else.
Do you know the rat-catcher?
Only from what I’ve heard about him. I think he’s more comfortable down in the sewers than up here in town. There’s a manhole right next to his place, so you hardly get to see him.
Do you believe there’s monsters below the city as well?
No, that’s foolish talk. What would those monsters live on - guild members?
Do you know anything about the guild or the tradesmaster you could tell us?
Actually, I’m off duty right now, and quite happy to have nothing to do with them for a while. Just lately, they’ve ambushed the tax collector and dealt out the money to the people. I guess they’re trying to curry favor with the populace. That doesn’t make work any easier for us guards.

Hah, there’s no stopping him. After we finally had him cornered, he just changed sides. - Mind you, I wonder what he’s planning to do if something like that should happen again…
Could you tell us a bit about the judge?
For quite a while now, the judge has taken a hard line, and with some success. Still, we can only hope the guild and the pirates carve each other up!
