Topic: Stop

“I wouldn’t want to appear rude or anything, but my time is valuable.”

“I am sure you will not be offended if I take this opportunity to conclude our conversation?!”

“Well now, it was really very nice to have spoken to you. I mean it.”

“Please don’t be offended, but I must take my leave from you now - duty calls, you know.”

“Enough exchanging pleasantries. The harsh realities of life demand my attention.”

“I am sure there are a lot of interesting topics we have barely touched on, but for now, we really have talked enough, I think.”

“Now, that’s about enough questions. I don’t know that many answers anyway.”

“If you are that desperate for conversation, why don’t you go visit Asgrimm Thurboldsson in Breida.”

“Is there no end to your questions? Enough is enough!”

“I’d say we have wasted enough time babbling now. Farewell then, one and all.”

“My patience is wearing thin. I’m sure you remember the way to the door!”

“Can’t you stop talking at all?! Well, I can!”

“Go bother someone else with your questions and leave me with peace.”

“Really folks, I enjoy a little banter as much as the next guy, but there has to come an end to it some time.”

“Has anyone ever told you how your endless conversation can become grating?!”

“All right now, I’m putting an end to all this talking!”

Conversation Start

“Well met, honorable travelers!”

“The Twelve be with you!”

“What can I do you for?”

“If there is any way I can be of assistance, just let me know. I’ll fulfill your…almost every wish!”

“Well, I never! You here? What can I do for you?”

“Haven’t we met before? How is everything then?”

“Well? What could interest you?”

“You remind me of some adventurers who were here just recently.”

“If you want information, get a move on. I’ve got something else to do today as well!”

“Nothing I know shall be kept from you if you are interested in it. Let’s hear it, then.”

“Shoot. There are no stupid questions.”

“Silence is silver. Talk is gold. Let’s honor the precious ore!”

“And just what can I do for you today?”

“Welcome. Let’s see whether I can be of service to you.”

“How can I be of assistance, noble travelers?”

“Adventurers generally have a lot of questions. How about you?”

Conversation Stop

“I can’t tell you anything about that!”

“I really can’t tell you anything about that.”

“You’ll have to ask somewhere else for that!”

“Ask someone else, not me.”

“Quite amazing. What possessed you to come to me with that of all questions?”

“You ask me of all persons?”

“I haven’t the foggiest.”

“I know absolutely nothing about that subject.”

“I’m really sorry, but I don’t know a thing about that!”

“Well, what do you expect me to say about that?”

“Why don’t we choose a different subject.”

“I’m afraid we’ll have to change the subject, ’cause I don’t know anything about that!”

“Sorry, but I won’t be able to help you there.”

“I’ll have to pass on that, I’m afraid.”

“Do you have, maybe, any other interests?”

“You’ve definitely come to the wrong person there.”

“Enough about this subject. That’s all I know about it.”

“If that wasn’t enough for you, you’ll just have to ask somewhere else.”

“I do not know anything else!”

“I’m sure there is more about this subject to be found in the Imperial Library at Gareth but not here with me. Although I don’t think you’ll do that exhausting journey to our capital, just because of a silly book. Gareth is hundreds of miles away, you know, and the risk of bumping into an Orcish patrol is extremely high these days.”

“I have already told you all I know about this.”

“More about that subject? Sorry, but not here with me.”

“That’s all I can think of.”

“Despite my best efforts, none of my thoughts on this subject appear appropriate to serve as an answer to your question.”

“I don’t believe I know anything else!”

“Rohal himself wouldn’t have any more answers. I am certain!”

“The Twelve! How on Threa can you ask the same thing over and over again?”

“What? No - I really do not know anything else!”

“Couldn’t you ask something else for a change?”

“Oh really! Not again! This is bo-o-oring.”

“Couldn’t we please move on to a different subject? Finally?”

“You’re not exactly interested in a broad range of subjects, are you?!”

“Goodbye then!”

“All the best, folks. And don’t let that Orc scum get you down, now.”

“It’s been nice talking to you.”

“The Gods bless you in all your travels.”

“Have a nice day!”

“All the best to you!”

“See you!”

“Good luck in your travels.”

“I seem to have been a bit too polite for your lot. Leave me alone.”

“Know something? You should take your inquisitive faces and get them back outside mighty quick or else.”

“Now what! Not you again! Beat it!”

“There’s no getting through to you, is there? I am not interested in continuing this conversation.”

“My thirst for conversation has been sated for today.”

“I’ve really got something better to do with my time! Get lost!”

“Not your lot again!”

“Haven’t you had enough yet? Well, I have!”

“Say, could you tell us something about Elves?”
“What do you know about Elves?”
“How’s it going? Heard anything new about the Elves?”
“Have you heard anything about the Elves?”

“There are Elves in various towns of the North. There are several thousand of them in Lowangen.”

“Once, the Elves possessed immense knowledge about mining, but because they never wrote it down, all that knowledge has been lost forever.”

“They say the home of Elves is the Salamander Stones mountain range - but then again, they may just have retreated there.”

“Anyone interested in Elvish life should take a look around in Kvirasim; the Elves won’t suffer any Human, or worse, any Dwarf, in the Salamander Stones.”

“Once upon ancient times, there was a mighty compact of the Elves and Dwarves; together, they fought against the Orcish scum.”

“I guess no Man will ever understand what goes on in the head of an Elf.”

“In olden times, the Elves used to live all over the north, but the Orcs have driven them back into the Salamander Stones in numerous campaigns.”

“Elves are eternally curious, but there are some things they probably will never understand.”

“Prickears! Let them go back where they came from. That’s what I say!”

“Elves, Elves! That’s all I hear is Elves!”

“Climbed off the trees, the Elves did, and that’s where they should be driven back to, preferably dangling from a rope!”

“That lying Elven rabble can go to Boron, for all I care!”

“You cannot trust the promises of an Elf. They are very free with them, but don’t come through.”

“The Elves work hand in glove with the Orcs. They want the Orcs to do their dirty work for them so the Elves can rule Mankind afterward!”

“In Wehrheim, they have nailed Elves to barn doors by their pointed ears.”

“Elves have a mighty peculiar attitude toward property. That goes for their own property as well as for that of others.”

“Any news from the Dwarvish front?”
“Have you heard anything new about the Dwarves lately?”
“Say, what’s been happening with the Dwarves these last few months?”
“I’d be interested to hear something about Dwarves.”

“The Dwarvish influence up north here is very low.”

“There are more Dwarves in the North than most people suspect. There used to be various mines in the Thasch and Finsterkamm mountains, but the deposits there are gone, and a lot of the Dwarves have moved into the towns along the Svellt.”

“There are Dwarven cities below the ground in the Finsterkamm. But the Dwarves there aren’t particularly interested in contact with Humans.”

“Next to the Elves, the Dwarves are among the oldest natives of Arkania.”

“In ancient times long forgotten, there was a mighty compact of Dwarves and Elves, who together fought against the Orc scum.”

“You wouldn’t say so from looking at them, but Dwarves can fight just as well as they do metalwork.”

“If you really want to find out about Dwarves, you’ll have to take a look around their cities below the ground - if they ever let you in there!”

“The Dwarves are Arkania’s mightiest people.”

“For gold and diamonds, a Dwarf would readily betray even his closest friend.”

“The Dwarves just dig and dig as fast as they can. If they keep that up, the ground is going to give way under our very feet one day!”

“Who cares about Dwarves. They don’t give a damn about any other folk either.”

“Start digging a hole anywhere, and don’t be surprised if you meet a Dwarf coming your way from below.”

“A lot of shady characters crouching in their caves where they are up to who knows what.”

“A treacherous people. They are in this with the Orcs, I’d bet.”

“Dwarves?! Those miserable traitors! How else have the Orcs managed to cross the Svellt in Tjolmar if not with the help of those stinking Dwarves?”

“Actually, Dwarves are okay if only they didn’t smell so bad!”

“How about a little talk about those Orcs?”
“Do you know something about the Orcs we don’t?”
“Tell us about the Orcs, why don’t you?”
“Want to talk about Orcs a while?”

“The Orcs have taken Gryphonford Fortress, and it won’t be long till Lowangen will be forced to surrender.”

“Part of the Orcish army has moved into the Finsterkamm and is making trouble there.”

“The best part of the Orcish army is camping on the right bank of the Svellt outside of Lowangen.”

“The Orcs have recruited all their warriors for this giant campaign - their own towns are left without any protection at all.”

“The Orcs have sacked Tiefhusen.”

“There is an Orcish general who has his headquarters somewhere in the Rhorwhed.”

“There is a city of the Orcs somewhere below ground in the Blood Peaks.”

“They do not worship the Twelve, but their own idols, Brazoragh and Tairach.”

“Orcs have neither culture nor any state of their own. Usually they only attack in small bands that have met by coincidence. This Orcish campaign is masterminded by dark, hidden forces well in the background somewhere.”

“Gods are unknown to the Orcs. They themselves are a scourge of the Gods for our sins.”

“The blackpelts will have to give up the siege of Lowangen, for the town’s resistance remains strong and unbroken.”

“There is nowhere in the North where you can feel safe from the Orcs. They are lying in wait everywhere and attack without any thought of the consequences!”

“Where there are blackpelts, Ogres are usually not far behind.”

“I’ve come across one just recently - after felling him with my trusted sword.”

“Orcs have a superstitious reverence of magic, but these days, I keep hearing about blackpelts courageous enough to wear magic amulets.”

“You cannot negotiate with Orcs. If you’re in the minority, you should just submit and hope for the best, and if you’ve got the upper hand, don’t waste any time with those lying scumbags.”

“What do you think of the weather today?”
“Have you taken a look at the sky today? What’s it going to be like?”
“Why don’t we talk about the weather for a bit?”
“The weather isn’t what it used to be. Don’t you agree?”

“We’ve even invited weather makers from the Rain Forests, but it’s no use.”

“The weather can change totally from one day to the next. You can’t trust even the finest soothsayers when they start talking about the weather.”

“In the old days, now, at least we had real seasons then, but that last summer we had, I mean, you couldn’t call that a summer!”

“Pretty lousy, ain’t it?!”

“I’ve long since given up hoping for good weather.”

“Let’s talk about something else.”

“What should I waste my breath on that for?!”

“The weather! The weather! Everybody’s talking about the weather!”

“Would there be a cozy accommodation for a few widely traveled adventurers such as us available somewhere around here?”
“Do you know a place where we could stay the night around here?”
“Is there anywhere where we could find lodgings for the night?”
“Where around here can a traveler rest his weary head?”

“It’s not as if I had anything against strangers, but my house is simply too small to accommodate any guests.”

“My humble shack is barely big enough for the family - why don’t you look around for an inn?”

“Yes, a roof over your head is worth its weight in gold! I can’t help you there, I’m afraid.”

“For a traveling party your size, an inn would be best. You’d just have to ask around in town, and you’re sure to find something.”

“Maybe you’ll find a hospitable someone in town who’ll be prepared to let you stay in his barn for one night.”

“Yes, you should definitely try to find lodgings - around here, the nights can be very cold. A cozy bed is preferable to spending the night outside under those conditions.”

“If you can’t find an inn, you might try asking at the tavern. For a decent payment, the landlord may even offer you his own bed.”

“It’s tough finding something around here, isn’t it? Course, I’ve been preaching for years that an inn or two could only help this place, but does anyone listen?”

“Where do people go to get some food around here?”
“Is there anything to eat around here?”
“Can we sate our hunger somewhere around here?”
“Hey, how about sliding something to chew on this way?”

“If you want to beg, go somewhere else. I haven’t got enough for myself.”

“Sorry, but I can’t give you anything from the little that’s left for me.”

“You better try asking at a tavern or an inn!”

“That really isn’t a fitting topic for this place.”

“With the sort of armament you lug around, you should be able to provide for yourselves in the woods. Orc or bear, it’s all the same once they’re up on a spit!”

“You don’t look like you could not take care of yourselves.”

“Ora et labora. Those who do an honest day’s work, will - Praise the Gods - always have a decent meal to show for it.”

“Where the flowers blossom and the trees stand tall, you will find enough to sate you all.”

“Have you got a few winks for us? We want to go traveling for a spell.”
“Could you advise us what to keep in mind when traveling this general area?”
“Travelers aren’t exactly blessed with all the comforts of life, are they?”
“What do you think? What rules should a traveler keep in mind?”

“Before setting out on any journey, you should make sure you have the appropriate equipment and sufficient provisions.”

“Traveling the northern lands isn’t as comfortable as it is in other regions, that’s true, but where there’s a will, there’s always a way.”

“I used to travel a lot myself once, but these days, my legs give out on me.”

“The main thing when traveling is to keep an eye out for changes in the weather.”

“Travel? No, I can’t tell you anything about that, due to lack of any personal experience whatsoever.”

“Where in the Gods’ name would you want to go with the Orcs lying in wait everywhere. You can’t just simply up and go these days, you know.”

“Before setting out unprepared, you should definitely ask about the route to your goal.”

“Travel? What good would that do? Everywhere there’s brigands and worse just waiting to set an ambush for you. No, no, I’ll just stay safe and sound herein my little hometown.”

“Do you know anything about the Dwarven Pit?”
“Do you know what the Salamander Stone is?”
“Could you tell me who Ingramosch is?”
“Would you happen to know something about Star Trail?”
“Can you tell us something about Sevensprings?”
“Can you tell us something about Leechbronn?”
“We are looking for someone called Gavron. Can you help?”
“What do you know about one Artherion?”
“Where can we find Hensger?”
“Can you tell us something about the anathematizers?”
“Do you know something about the shrouded figures conducting strange rituals on the market square at night?”
“Do you know something about the crossbow bolt that was fired on us from ambush?”
“Could you please tell us what that pile of ash on the market square is all about?”
“Excuse me, what exactly is Rogolan?”
“What fugitives are you talking about?”
“Do you know more about the Lizard Men?”
“The town wall?”
“Do you know some more about that escape tunnel?”
“Arsingen?”
“Sibra?”
“And where can we find the temple of Travia?”

“How do we get to Roglima?”

“Where can we find Berman?”

“And where would this Vistella be found?”

“Orc Death?”

“And where could Master Vormtann be found?”

“Where is this Farmion fellow’s shop?”

“Where is the shop of this Desdira?”

“Could you tell us the way to the Svelltje Palace?”

“Where do we go if we want to go to Thorescha?”

“Is that compact showing any results yet?”

“Vinsalter?”

“Where are those academies?”

“Could you tell us something about those master smiths?”

“Thank you, we will! - Now, if you could just tell us where we can find Zaskia’shouse?”

“And where does Kysira live?”

“What are swamp rantzies?”

“What kind of a secret exit was that?”

“Might you be able to tell us what inhabitants of Gashok moved here recently?”

“You wouldn’t happen to know where we could find this gentlemen from Kuslik?”

“Did a larger group of travelers pass by here these days?”
