An Elf comes running up to you - Elsurion Starlight! “You have actually located him - come quickly. The whole town is in a turmoil. I have secured a boat for us to escape in. I shall personally take care of the prince on the way.”
During the boat trip, Starlight bandages Ingramosch’s wounds, and through the help of some healing spells, the Dwarf regains consciousness. When you have told him the whole story and have handed him the Salamander Stone, he looks at the Elf thoughtfully.
“Take me to your king,” he says finally,“we have a lot to talk about.”
The following day, you get off the river, and Elsurion sees to a carriage. Ingramosch has regained his strength rapidly and spends most of his time on the coach-box in quiet conversation with Elsurion.
You continue your journey eastward via Kvirasim until you reach an Elven settlement the following day. You are given some very suspicious looks, but after Elsurion puts in a word for you, you are welcomed wholeheartedly.
During the following days, you neither hear nor see anything of the two, but more and more Elves and Dwarves arrive.
After two weeks, Elsurion pays you a visit. “It is accomplished,” here ports tiredly. “Next year, or the year after at the latest, we shall drive the Orc scum back whence it came.”
“Tonight though, there will be a celebration. For the first time in more than four centuries, our king will reveal himself to the other peoples!”
The celebration runs its course, and the music especially surpasses your wildest expectations. Then, an Elf rises at the head of the table and beckons you over. That must be him, the legendary Elven king…
The king looks at you for a long time until finally a subtle smile plays over his features.
“You have brought us the Salamander Stone, the one artifact that made this covenant possible. All of us are indebted to you.” He turns to the crowd: “Hear this, then, all assembled, and know that these heroes are under my personal protection from now on.”
“Our lands, the mountains, the rivers and the unending forests, they all are open to you for as long as you shall live.”
After leaving the vault you look for a quiet corner and wait for your comrades.
