There’s a herd of steppe cattle grazing in the shade of the trees. Do you
* shoot one of the animals from a safe distance,
* creep closer and slaughter the “cows”,
* or continue your journey under the suspicious eyes of the animals?
As you have no distance weapons appropriate to the task, I’m afraid you’ll haveto think of something else.
[NAME] manages a hit all right, but the animal isn’t seriously hurt. It looks grimly in your direction before the whole herd stampedes off.
Everything goes according to plan. You have crept forward until you’re just nine paces from the animals. Now you run toward the herd, screaming and brandishing your weapons. But quite contrary to what you expected, the cattle don’t run away, instead, they counterattack. With their massive bodies, they run you down asif you weren’t really there. And in fact, you wish you weren’t, as the experience is quite painful. Luckily, the animals continue in the same direction and gallop away.
